Fishing Techniques and Expertise

Your float down the McKenzie may include dry fly fishing, nymphing or other techniques depending on water flow, clarity, and fish activity. Your guide, John, will tailor the day based on conditions and your experience level—whether you’re casting for the first time or honing your technique.

The trip takes place aboard a stable 16-foot ClackaCraft drift boat, offering comfortable, safe passage through both swift water and slower stretches, while giving ample room to cast and move around.

More Than Just Fishing

This is more than a fishing trip—it's a chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of one of Oregon’s most scenic rivers. You’ll float through fern-lined banks, cast into clear currents and possibly spot bald eagles, ospreys and deer along the way.
